Meeting Schedule

The Board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, except when there is a conflicting holiday or other contingency. Committee meetings are held either monthly (Accountability, Finance, and Personnel; Family and Community Engagement; Student Achievement and School Improvement) or at the call of the committee chair (Legislation, Rules, and Policies; Strategic Planning and Budget).

The Board holds its annual Organizational meeting on the fourth Tuesday in April. Special meetings of the Board may be called by the Board President at any time.

Meeting Broadcasts

Regular and special meetings of the full Board are livestreamed on the MPS YouTube page. They are also broadcast on the radio at 88.9 FM (WYMS) and aired live on Spectrum's channel 13 and AT&T U-verse's channel 99. Special meetings of the Board may be aired upon request of the Board President.

Public Testimony

Each meeting notice will state whether public testimony will be accepted. All speakers have two minutes and thirty seconds to speak.

Option 1: Provide comments in writing.

Comments can be provided by email or by U.S. mail:

Option 2: Provide testimony in person.

Speaker registration slips will be available in the lobby of the Central Services building. Bring your completed slip to the Board Clerk on the stage and indicate the item on which you wish to speak. You will be called to speak during consideration of that item. Testimony will only be accepted for items on the meeting's agenda. (There is no "general comment" period.)

Option 3: Provide testimony virtually.

You must register in advance to receive your unique access link/code. Registration requests must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Note: No matter which device you use, you will not appear visually in the meeting.
