Office of the Deputy Superintendent

The Office of the Deputy Superintendent oversees the services and systems that help Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) run smoothly every day.

Our work strengthens district operations, enhances safety and security practices, and helps ensure students and staff have safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environments.

How We Support the District

Improve district operations by creating efficient processes and reliable services.
Promote safe and secure schools through planning, training, and ongoing improvements.
Coordinate resources, including facilities, transportation, technology, and other operational services, to support student success.
Work with MPS departments and community partners to strengthen communication and collaboration.
Use data and responsible budgeting to improve services and make the best use of district resources.

How We Support Schools

Provide operational support so school leaders can focus on teaching, learning, and creating positive student experiences.
Help schools maintain safe and welcoming environments.
Deliver dependable services, from facilities and maintenance to transportation and operational support.
Partner with school leaders to solve problems and remove barriers that affect daily operations.
Provide clear communication and consistent processes that allow schools to function effectively.
