Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Grant Programs

Between March of 2020 and 2021, Congress passed three stimulus bills under ESSER with allocations of funding for school districts. These funds provided emergency financial assistance to address the impact that COVID–19 had on elementary and secondary schools.

The following table summarizes those allocations, the amount of funding that was allocated to Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS), and the performance period.
