Educator Effectiveness

Mission

The Educator Effectiveness department serves to support teachers and administrators in developing, growing, and strengthening their skills, knowledge, and capacities to maximize learning opportunities for all students within the Milwaukee Public Schools district.

Vision

The Educator Effectiveness team seeks to build a system to strengthen professional practices, increasing the impact of those practices on student achievement. Bolstered by a transformative coaching model, our priority is to help educators grow and develop through a comprehensive system of support and collaborative partnerships to maximize the culture of adult inquiry and learning.

The Educator Effectiveness System in MPS includes the system of growth and development, as well as evaluation, for teachers in the district based on the Danielson Framework for Teaching. The system also includes the principal system of growth, development, and evaluation for all principals and assistant principals based on the Wisconsin Framework for Principal Leadership.
