Paraprofessionals, Children's Health Assistants, and Parent Coordinators
Paraprofessionals, children’s health assistants, and parent coordinators provide essential support for students and families at Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS).
Paraprofessionals assist special education students and individualize the teaching-learning process. They offer academic and behavioral support in elementary, middle, and high schools across the district. Children’s health assistants specifically assist students with disabilities in all aspects of school life.
Parent coordinators aid families, develop strong parental connections to schools, and implement family and community engagement programs and initiatives.
