MPS invites you to attend Montessori Morning!
Join us for the Montessori Morning Open House, where families can tour classrooms, attend breakout sessions, meet MPS Montessori teachers, and observe students engaged in meaningful work. This event is open to anyone interested in learning more about Montessori at MPS. Current MPS families as well as those looking to apply for enrollment are welcome!
Connect with staff from all MPS Montessori schools and discover what makes each community unique. Parking is available in the Juneau Playfield lot directly across from MacDowell on Mount Vernon Avenue. Free childcare for school-aged children will be provided by Milwaukee Recreation, including snacks and activities (families must sign children in and out with a photo ID). Light refreshments will be available throughout the morning.

View our teachers and students working in classrooms. See what a typical day is like in the Montessori
environment. Credentialed MPS Montessori teachers will be on hand in Question-and-Answer rooms.
9:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Student-Run Business Showcase
Learn how students are operating their own businesses and purchase their products.
10:30 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. Breakout Sessions — choose one!
- Introduction to Montessori – This session is for new or prospective families and will provide an overview of the Montessori curriculum, focusing on the primary (K3 – K5) grade band.
- Montessori in the Home – Support your child’s independence and bridge the gap between school and home with purposeful, real-world activities.
- Responsible Technology – Learn to set boundaries, have open conversations about safety, and use online tools responsibly.
11:45 a.m. Choir Performance
Enjoy the voices of students who come together from multiple schools to blend their talents into one beautiful sound.
