International Newcomer Centers

Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) offers a newcomer program designed for recent arrivals who are learning English along with grade-level subjects. 

Classes feature intensive support that helps students develop English language skills and grow in cultural awareness. There are two International Newcomer Center locations (one for students in grades 6–8 and one for students in grades 9–12).
 

Middle School Center

Milwaukee Academy of Chinese Language (MACL)

After two years at MACL, students can choose to continue their education there or make a smooth transition to a school of their choice. For more information or to take a tour, please call the school at (414) 934-4340.
 

High School Center

South Division High School

After one year at South Division, students can decide whether to stay or enroll in another high school. For more information or to take a tour, please call the school at (414) 902-8300.
