Black and Latino Male Achievement (BLMA) 

MPS supports Black and Latino male students through programs like our elementary BLMA Buddies program and our high school mentorship program.   
 

Extended Learning Opportunities 

From our annual Learning Journeys to Summer Academy and beyond, we offer more time for academics and enrichment beyond the conventional school day.    
 

PLTW and STEM Education 

Students at more than 30 MPS schools explore STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) through Project Lead the Way, a fully developed curriculum intended to increase interest in various fields.   
 

Ropes and Challenges 

Located in Potter’s Forest, this course offers outdoor group activities that involve both high and low elements and allow students to strengthen their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.  
 

Turnaround Arts 

High-needs MPS schools are empowered through innovative programs, high-profile artist mentors, musical instruments, and other resources.
