Extended Learning Opportunities
Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) offers a variety of extended learning opportunities that provide more time for academics and enrichment beyond the conventional school day.
Extended learning opportunities usually take place during the summer months, school breaks, weekends, and evenings. These programs offer learning and development experiences that enhance and complement the school curriculum. Students collaborate with highly qualified teachers or community partners to advance core skills, discover new interests, and make real-world connections outside a traditional classroom.
We focus on academics, acceleration, career development, health and wellness, experiential learning, and social-emotional learning. Learn more about our programs and what we offer MPS students.
Summer Academy
Each summer, Summer Academy provides safe, free programming for city of Milwaukee residents in K5 through twelfth grade.
