Advanced Academic Programs

Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) offers advanced academic opportunities to help students excel in school and prepare for life after graduation.

Advanced Placement

Through Advanced Placement courses and exams, high school students can earn college credit and stand out in the admissions process.

Gifted and Talented

The MPS Gifted and Talented Development Model provides different levels of support for students who need more advanced learning and enrichment opportunities to reach their full potential.

MPS was the first Wisconsin school district to offer the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum—Primary Years, Middle Years, Diploma, and Career-related Programmes—at authorized schools across the district.
