Adopt-a-School Program
The Adopt-a-School program is an exciting opportunity for businesses, community organizations, and faith-based organizations to partner with Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS).
We invite partners to form a direct and personal relationship with a single school or multiple schools. Businesses and community organizations work with school leadership to improve outcomes by providing financial, volunteer and in-kind resources based on the resource needs of our students. Through these high-level relationships, partners commit to working with a school for an extended time to support learning and youth development.
Each Adopt-a-School partnership is unique and is tailored to match the specific opportunities that exist within a school community with the strengths and resources of adopting partners.

Adopting a School Is as Easy as 1-2-3!
1. Complete the Partnership Interest Form.
When filling out the form, check the box for the Adopt-a-School program. You can include specific schools if there are ones you want to work with. Our team will also be happy to assist you with selecting a school.
2. Meet with our team.
An MPS team member will contact you to set up a meeting to go over potential partner schools, volunteer and financial support tracks, and unique ways that your business or organization can impact students.
3. Formalize the partnership.
After identifying a partnership with a selected school(s), sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) outlining the relationship and services that will be provided. The MOU is simply a way to formalize the relationship. After the MOU is signed, an MPS Partnership team member will meet with you to discuss next steps including the development of a Partnership Calendar of Activities.
