MATC Promise for New High School Graduates

By offering free tuition for eligible students, the MATC Promise for New High School Graduates makes college a reality for Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) students who never thought it was possible.

The MATC Promise for New High School Graduates was the first program of its kind in Wisconsin, providing free tuition for eligible students to attend Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC). This public/private “last dollar” partnership covers tuition and fees for program courses, after other grants and scholarships are applied, for up to 75 credits. (Note: The cost of books, program fees, and equipment are not covered.)

Application Process

MPS College and Career Centers (CACCs) are here to help students apply, which involves completing both the MATC application and the MATC Promise application. If you need any help, please visit your nearest CACC.
